Redefining the Impossible

Slashdot

Google personalised home page has got me back into Slashdot. I got bored with slashdot after using an RSS feed that only showed article headlines as teasers to the content. Ironically Google home page only shows headlines.

On a whim I tried logging into my old slashdot account for the first time in what must be four or five years and it remembered me!

I did some metamoderating (moderating the moderators) as it helps while away the time.

Hi Peter, im sorry to telll you but It would be appreciated if you could stop using Reformat as a 'tag' on your blog.

I have been using reformat for 13 years and it is a critical theory, an art project (published) and a commercial company.

Although you are not aware I have had much pressure both academic and economic for the name but have resisted these pressures. Reformat theory is the next generation critical theory that combines both the western dialetic and the eastern holistic philosophies.

Consequently it would be greatly appreciated if you could stop using this 'tag' and I have to say that I am serious about this. Soon, and much respect, Simon

Here is a list of the tags used in this blog:

I don't see Reformat in this list. I am not aware of ever using this word except as a verb describing something you do to hard disks.

On google I see 10,100,000 other sites using this word. Good luck with convincing them all to stop.

You've read it more often than I have. Glad you were entertained.
